Mark McHutchon

Mark McHutchon Mark is the leader of the team and the owner/director of Otago Skylights and Heating.  He has over 10 years experience in the heating and ventilation trade and is passionate about what he does.
In 2010 Mark McHutchon purchased the Hometech license for Otago. Having previously worked with Hometech in Canterbury he loved their superior quality products and the ethos of the company. The move back down south was a natural progression and completed the desire to be around family. Mark had been operating his own successful business installing thousands of woodfires and ventilation units throughout Canterbury. These existing skills complemented the Hometech products and hence Otago Skylights and Heating was established. Since then we have also taken on Southland and Central Otago and regulary visit these areas installing woodburners, solatubes and many of the other quality products that we offer.

Mark is a family man with 2 children.  He enjoys sport, having successfully represented a number of provinces for rugby at various levels and also New Zealand. His most recent sporting endeavour was the 2013 Southern Showdown Charity Boxing Event.  Here he was successful in his bout and was proud to contribute to the Otago Hospice.
Mark enjoys the practical and physical aspects of the job as well as enhancing peoples homes.
