Otago Skylights and Heating is a locally owned and operated business that specialises in the supply, installation and servicing of a range of home improvement products throughout Otago and Central Otago.

Otago Skylights and Heating are members of the New Zealand Home Heating Association (NZHHA) and Mark is a Solid Fuel Appliance Technician (SFIAT). We are also involved with the Dunedin City Councils Warm Up Dunedin Scheme for a number of years. Hometech is proudly part of Future Proof Building (FPB).

Otago Skylights and Heating stand by their products and service offeringa  10 year warranty on Hometech Solatube products and installation. Many of our products are BRANZ appraised. This means that it has been independently tested and recognised to exceed New Zealand Building Code.

Mark McHutchon

Mark is the owner/director of Otago Skylights and Heating. He has a wealth of experience and knowledge having been installing Hometech products and woodburners since 2005. Mark is passionate about what he does and loves the superior quality of the products that he installs.

Mark is a family man with 3 children. He enjoys sport and has played rugby across New Zealand, but now days you are more likely to find him on the sidelines supporting his children in their interests. He is proud of his accomplishments and said that the 2013 Southern Showdown Charity Boxing Match was one of the most rewarding and challenging things that he has done.

Mark enjoys the practical and physical aspects of the job as well as meeting new people.

Hayley McHutchon

Hayley McHutchon

Hayley is Marks wife and works in the business part time. She oversees the general running of the business and marketing side of things. When Hayley isn't in the office she is normally teaching at Taieri College or being a taxi service to the children. Hayley enjoys the interaction with a wide range of clients and loves hearing how the products can make such a positive impact on the wellbeing of their clients.
